In Pacific Ring of Fire, Magdalena Jetelová turns her attention to tectonic fault lines, zones where continental plates
meet, collide, and drift apart. Unlike mountainous borders that manifest visibly in the landscape, many
of these geological thresholds remain unseen. Jetelová makes them perceptible through light.
Using laser projections across vast natural terrains, she traces invisible divisions between continents,
inscribing ephemeral lines onto glaciers, mountains, and remote landscapes. The work marks sites of
geological tension between the South American and Antarctic plates, revealing a planetary structure
that exists beyond human perception yet shapes the physical world
