The Rhythm series constructs three-dimensional lines by manipulating colored paper and existing drawn lines through slicing, cutting, repositioning, and layering. The word comes from the Greek ῥυθμός, rhythmos, and refers to any regular, recurring movement over time. The concept of rhythm extends to cyclical structures like heartbeats, circadian rhythms, lunar phases, seasons, and tides. The material manipulation raises questions about boundaries, limitations and resilience. This exploration can be broadened to contemplate the interconnected rhythms shaping our world.
