We are very proud to announce that Magdalena Jetelová will be conferred the most important Prize for Art and Science — the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art — a high state award for outstanding achievements, by the Federal President of Austria, Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen.”

Magdalena Jetelová received the news on the day of the opening of her current exhibition, “Domestication of a Pyramid,” in relation to her renowned exhibition curated by Peter Noever at the MAK. At its center stands the artist’s iconic pyramid motif: By placing pyramid fragments within interior spaces, Jetelová questions the ways in which history is represented, cultivated, or “domesticated.”
