Juergen Staack is a German Minimal Art and Conceptual artist from Düsseldorf. Staack developed his own forms of expression in conceptual photography early on, emphasizing both the translatability of photography into language and the material fragility of the analog and, in its transience, also digital photographic image. He employs various media for this purpose, including performance, sound, video, sculptures, and photographs. Staack questions our perception in all domains and reevaluates the boundaries of image creation.
Juergen Staack completed an apprenticeship in photography in Wuppertal, then went on to study photography at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He was a master student of Thomas Ruff and received numerous scholarships and awards. His works have been exhibited in various places, including the Marburger Kunstverein, Kunstverein Oldenburg, Changwon Sculpture Biennale, Kunsthaus NRW, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, Museum für Neue Kunst Freiburg, and Deichtorhallen Hamburg.
