ARTIST TALK WITH ILIT AZOULAY AT VS VILLA STUCK
Wednesday, February 26 at 7 PM
Interimsquartier Museum VILLA STUCK
VS | Goethestraße 54As part of the exhibition STOPOVER, which is on view at the interim location of the Museum VILLA STUCK VS until March 2, an artist talk will take place on Wednesday, February 26, with Ilit Azoulay in conversation with Dr. Bettina Kames.
Artist Ilit Azoulay is a master of photographic storytelling. Her approach resembles an archaeological excavation—she works through different layers of time, deconstructs places and artifacts, selects details, and alters their context. These puzzle-like re-creations push the boundaries of traditional knowledge transmission, offering an associative approach to history.

SIDE-SPECIFIC ART
Digital Amnesia or Constructed Memory" by Ilia Azoulay has found its permanent home at Munich's historic Maximilian-Gymnasium. The installation showcases a panoramic photomontage and an immersive sound experience facilitated by Augmented Reality technology on-site.
In this project, artist Ilit Azoulay creatively reimagines the grand halls of Maximilian Gymnasium, aiming to preserve its diverse histories, whether spoken or unspoken. Through a fusion of photography, sculpture, and sound, Azoulay visually exposes the essence of the unembellished structure within a panoramic masterpiece encased in a stone frame. -
